I finished The Surge 2, and greatly enjoyed it. The limb cutting system was an interesting twist to the soul-like genre, and the futuristic environment gave the game a distinct identity.
However, the boss fights felt floaty and impactful, it felt like hitting the bosses with a stick.
I played a few hours of The Surge 1, and the environment was completely different from the second game. The first 2 zones were industrial factories, and I got lost a bunch of times because everything looks somewhat similar.
The combat in The Surge 1 isn’t as polished as The Surge 2, and I couldn’t really get into it so I dropped it.
