Snow Crash

Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash is a fascinating exploration of a future world. It accurately predicted the rise of avatars, the metaverse, and the increasing importance of digital life over physical reality. The novel's prescience is one of its most striking features, as it anticipated many of the technological and cultural trends that have since become commonplace.

One of the most notable issues with the book is the extensive info dump in the middle of the story, which delves deep into Sumerian culture and religion. While Stephenson's attempt to draw parallels between memes and religion is intriguing, the lengthy exposition can be overwhelming and disrupt the flow of the narrative.

Another weakness of Snow Crash is its anticlimactic ending. After building up tension and excitement throughout the story, the clean resolution feels somewhat underwhelming and fails to fully satisfy the reader's expectations.
